Voluntatem nostram boni consulere uelis.

Toxites to the Reader.

In order to be of service to you, dear reader, I have translated into the Latin language a fragment from Theophrastus' hand on the method of preparing and administering medicines. Although he has discussed these things in only a few words, they are sufficient for those who are diligent in investigating greater matters. Whatever they may be, they are certainly of great usefulness, and by them you may also understand the method of preparing medicines and administering them as Paracelsus has pleased. May you wish to favor our good will.
