Relationship to other texts.
Authenticity, authorship. Goldammer was already skeptical in regard to the authenticity (“Echtheit noch eingehender zu prüfen”). Biegger states that De dignitate sanctae Mariae “was probably not [written] by Paracelsus; in any case, a German text with a corresponding title is not known.” However, the text seems to have been translated directly from German.
