| CP1=71$Bartholomäus von Montagnana/Bartolomeo Montagnana (geb. vor 1400 in Montagna/gest. gegen 1460 in Padua), ein Paduaner Universitätsmediziner (die Identifikation M.s mit dem italienischen Arztphilologen Johann Baptist Montanus/Giovanni Battista da Monte/Giambattista Da Monte [1498-1551] durch Burmeister, 1967, Bd. 1, S. 153, ist unzutreffend). Seine Schriften blieben auf dem Druckmarkt des 16. Jahrhunderts präsent. </br> Rheticus' Beifall galt pharmakotherapeutischen Lehren, wie sie in M.s Consilia, De modo compositionis medicamentorum oder Antidotarium verbreitet worden sind. Dies geschah unbekümmert um die Tatsache, daß M. zu den von Paracelsus namentlich bekämpften Autoritäten gehörte; vgl. Paracelsus, Vorrede zum Paragranum, ed. Huser, Tl. 2, S. 5-21, hier S. 10: »Mir nach/ Auicenna, Galene, Rhasis, Montagnana, Mesue, etcfetera] Mir nach1 vnd nit ich [Paracelsus] euch nach«. - Pauschal abgefertigt wurde M. auch in der Bertheonea, ed. Huser, 1605, S. 333, 646; in De caduco matricis (ed. Huser, Tl. 4, S. 365-417) wurden M.s Schriften umstandslos zu den »grossen Schwaderlappen« (wertlosen Werken) eines Avicenna, Galen und Rhazes gezählt (S. 367f.): »[...] Auicennae, Galieni, Rasis, Montagnanae, [...] deren werck ein schand zunennen ist/ vnd jhr zu gedencken«. | |||
